Cast for your customers, not for the grid
Casting shapes the whole store, and it is easy to rush. The Model library has dozens of AI-generated adults across ages, skin tones and body types, and the temptation is to give every product a new face. Resist it. A store where each piece is worn by a different stranger starts to feel like a stock-photo site.
Start from who buys from you. If most of your customers are women in their thirties to fifties, cast mostly women in that range, then add variety on purpose: at least two skin tones and two body types that match the sizes you actually stock. Three to five models covers most small brands. Shoppers use the photos to picture the piece on themselves, so a model who looks like them is worth more than one who looks like a magazine cover.
