What 2K at a flat price means in practice
Seedream 4.5 charges the same per image whatever size you pick, and it does not go below 2K: ask for 1536×1024 and the request is scaled up to clear the 3.7-megapixel floor. In our skincare set we used 2048×2048 for square images and 1568×2352 for 2:3 portrait. Square suits marketplace galleries; the tall portrait suits Pinterest and most product pages.
That makes 4.5 a sensible default for packshots and simple scenes without much text: a bottle on a plinth, a texture swipe, a splash, a flat lay of a product range. It is not the model for copy beyond a short label (GPT Image 2 is), for placing your exact real packaging into new scenes (Nano Banana Pro holds references more strictly), or for very wide banners.
