Why automatic crops lose the product
Give an ad platform one file and let it fill every placement, and it crops. A 4:5 feed ad cut down to 9:16 loses its sides; the same ad cut to 16:9 loses its top and bottom. Whatever sits near the edge goes first, and in most ads that is the headline, the logo or the price. The product survives only if it happened to be in the middle.
Resizing properly means rebuilding the composition for each shape. On a wider canvas the background is extended instead of the product being stretched, and on a taller one the text moves to where it still reads. That is the resizer’s job. It still needs a human eye, because some layouts can’t be saved by moving things around.
