Seedream 4.5 prompts for skincare and cosmetics photos

Every skincare launch needs roughly the same six images: a clean packshot, a texture swipe, a splash shot for freshness, the ingredient story, the range together and someone using it. Below is a tested Seedream 4.5 prompt for each, with the raw 2K output. The model fits this category well: it is one of the cheaper ways to get 2K images, and it renders glass, liquids and skin texture well.

The splash and ingredient shots used the packshot as a reference so the bottle stays the same product; the other four are text-to-image, and the woman applying serum in the last one is an adult in her mid-thirties. Three shots needed more than one attempt, and two of them failed the same way: Seedream drew lighting words as objects. A "rim light" became a glowing ring on the plinth, and a "white reflector" showed up as a panel at the edge of the frame.

Tested 2026-10-19 via Novita AI API (seedream-4.5, synchronous endpoint), the provider and model Blurbly uses. Sollune and its yuzu serum are invented. Nothing was retouched before web compression.

The quoted label text came back spelled exactly as written: "SOLLUNE" and "Yuzu Barrier Serum 30 ml".
"The top of the plinth is plain matte stone with no lights or glowing edges" fixed the first attempt, which had a glowing ring on the plinth.
"Fills about 60% of the frame height, centered" leaves space around the bottle for a banner or website crop.

Swap for your product

Rewrite the container sentence for your packaging: "50 ml airless pump in matte sage", "15 ml amber glass roller".
Put your exact label words in quotes and keep it to brand plus one line; leave long claims for the page copy.
Change the plinth and backdrop to your brand palette, e.g. "pale blue acrylic block on a white sweep".

Why it works

"Soft peaks at the end of the stroke and tiny trapped air bubbles" gives the swipe body and makes it look freshly made.
"Bright, soft backlight through the glass" is what makes the product glow rather than sit flat on the surface.
"Focus on the edge of the swipe" puts the sharpest detail where the texture is, with the jar soft behind.

Texture words: "rich whipped butter" for a balm, "thin milky fluid that runs" for an essence, "powder pressed then crumbled" for makeup.
Color: match your formula exactly ("pale lilac", "milky white with a pearl sheen").
For a lipstick or foundation, swap glass for "a strip of cream paper" and ask for "three swatches of increasing pressure".

Why it works

Spelling out the label in the prompt ("… in black, with no logo mark, no divider line and no added text") kept the reference label instead of a redesigned one.
"Crown-shaped splash … droplets frozen in mid-air" gives a shape the model knows well and frames the bottle symmetrically.
"Realistic water only: no star-shaped glints, sparkles or lens flares" removed the cartoon sparkles from the first attempt.

Swap for your product

Liquid: for oils use "golden oil droplets sliding down the glass"; for a toner, "a thin sheet of water pouring over the shoulder of the bottle".
Background: keep it one flat color pulled from the packaging so the splash reads.
For jars and tubes, use "lying on its side in a shallow ripple" rather than standing in a splash.

"A halved fresh yuzu with juicy pulp, a few whole yuzu with dimpled yellow skin" describes ingredients by how they look on camera, not by name alone.
"The bottle in sharp focus, the ingredients slightly softer toward the edges" keeps the product the subject.

Swap for your product

Swap in your hero ingredients with a visual cue each: "split vanilla pod", "a spoon of raw honey", "crushed blue spirulina powder".
Only show ingredients that are actually in the formula.
Use 1:1 at 2048×2048 if the image goes into a marketplace gallery rather than a page section.

Why it works

Listing each product with size, material and cap color produced three distinct items that still read as one range.
Asking for the same "small minimal label" with the brand name on each item gave a consistent mark across bottle, jar and tube, all spelled right.
"Arranged with breathing space between them" stopped the products overlapping, which matters when buyers count what is in a set.

List your own range in the order of the routine (cleanser, serum, cream) so the layout reads left to right.
Swap props for your customer's world: "gym towel and water bottle" for sport skincare, "silk scrunchie and a candle" for evening care.
For makeup, try "an open eyeshadow palette, two brushes and a lipstick with the bullet out".

Why it works

"Real skin texture with visible pores, light freckles and fine lines at the eyes" gives skin that looks photographed rather than retouched.
A simple gesture ("presses two fingertips against her cheekbone") came out with correct hands; the more complex dropper action in the first attempt did not.
"Plain warm beige wall behind her, filling the whole background" removed the white reflector panel that appeared at the frame edge in the first two attempts.

Swap for your product

Describe your customer with an adult age range and features, e.g. "a man in his fifties with grey stubble".
Match the gesture to the product: "smoothing cream along the jawline", "dabbing concealer under the eye with a ring finger".
This was text-to-image, so the bottle is a lookalike. If the bottle must be exact, add your packshot as a reference image.

What went wrong in testing

In the first packshot attempt, "a thin bright rim light along the glass edge" turned into a glowing LED-style ring around the top of the plinth.: Seedream 4.5 tends to draw lighting terms as objects. We removed the rim-light phrase and wrote what the plinth should look like instead: "plain matte stone with no lights or glowing edges".
The first splash attempt redesigned the label. With the packshot as reference, Seedream added a square logo mark and a gold divider line, enlarged the label and scattered star-shaped sparkles through the water.: We spelled out the label ("only the word … no logo mark, no divider line and no added text") and added "Realistic water only: no star-shaped glints, sparkles or lens flares". The second attempt kept the label plain.
The words on the label stayed correct, but the layout did not. "Yuzu Barrier / Serum 30 ml" on two lines in the packshot became three lines in the splash and ingredient shots.: For a real product this matters, because the buyer sees the bottle. Use a photo of your actual bottle as the reference, compare the label in every image and regenerate any that reflow.
The first model shot asked for a drop squeezed onto her fingertips. Instead the drop landed on her cheek and the dropper was pulled out of the bottle in an awkward grip. Both early attempts also showed a white panel at the right edge, the "white reflector" from the prompt.: We simplified the action to fingertips pressing serum into the cheek with the bottle closed in the other hand, and described the light as "soft, diffused window light" with a plain wall filling the background.
The texture prompt asked for a "translucent, pale apricot gel cream". What came back is a glossy, semi-opaque cream; it looks good, but it is not a gel.: If transparency is the selling point, describe what you would see through it, for example "clear enough to see the glass beneath". We did not run that variant. Check the result against your real formula either way.

Can Seedream 4.5 render the text on my skincare label?

Short labels, yes. A brand name plus one product line came out spelled correctly in every image we published. It did change line breaks and type size between shots, and once added a logo mark. We did not test small print such as ingredient lists; for those, use a real photo of the pack.

Does Seedream 4.5 accept a reference photo?

Yes. The splash and ingredient shots here used the packshot as a reference image, and the bottle shape, collar and label wording carried over. Write the label text into the prompt as well, because the reference alone did not stop the first splash attempt from redesigning the label.

What sizes does Seedream 4.5 output?

It works at 2K. Requests below about 3.7 megapixels are rejected, so smaller sizes are scaled up to that floor. We used 2048×2048 for square images and 1568×2352 for 2:3 portrait.

How do I keep model shots looking real and clearly adult?

State an adult age range ("in her mid-thirties"), ask for pores, freckles and fine lines, and keep the action simple. Hands are where it goes wrong: a two-fingertip press worked; squeezing a dropper onto fingertips did not.

Can I use these images on a marketplace product page?

The packshot style here is on a beige set, not a white background, so it is not an Amazon main image. Use it for secondary images and your own store, and check each marketplace's rules on representing the product accurately.
