What 2.2 is for, and what it is not
Wan 2.2 is for motion that supports a photo rather than carrying an ad. Steam off a mug, a scarf moving in a breeze from a window, condensation sliding down a can, a slow push-in on a packshot. Each is one gentle movement over 5 or 8 seconds, the kind of loop that makes a product page or a Story feel alive without asking anything complicated of the model.
It is the wrong model for hands doing work, a person speaking, a product turning to show a side the photo does not include, or anything longer than 8 seconds. Those need Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.5 or Wan 3.0, at a higher price per clip. If the clip is the ad itself, rather than decoration around a product photo, start further up the table.
One caveat on evidence: our record for Wan 2.2 is the kettle sample on this page, and we have not published a tested prompt guide for it. Treat the prompts below as starting points and check your first few clips closely before you run a whole catalogue.
