knife ad policy guide
Knife ads on Meta and TikTok in 2026: where kitchen knives stand
Both platforms ban weapons, and both carve out room for culinary knives in different ways. Framing matters as much as the product. Blurbly makes product images and video ads; it does not decide whether an ad runs. Approval is up to each platform, and its current policy is what counts.
Checked against the official policy pages on 9 October 2026. This is a summary, not legal advice.

Creative checklist for knife ads
Our suggestions, based on the rules above. They are not platform text and do not make an ad approvable.
Use
- Cooking context: cutting boards, ingredients, hands prepping food.
- Product shots that read as cookware, such as a knife block or set.
- Copy about sharpness for cooking, steel and handle comfort.
Avoid
- Combat, survival or self-defense language.
- Menacing angles, a blade pointed at the camera, or blood.
- Folding or tactical knives in the same campaign as kitchen knives.
